How to Find and Access Deals Awaiting Review

Overview

As a broker on the WhiteLabel Community Deals Platform, one of your primary responsibilities is reviewing deals submitted by issuers before they become visible to investors. This guide will walk you through the process of finding, accessing, and organizing deals that are awaiting your review, ensuring you can efficiently manage your review queue.

Prerequisites

Before accessing pending deals, you should:

  • Have an active broker account on the platform

  • Understand your role and responsibilities in the deal review process
  • Be familiar with the platform's navigation and interface

    • Deal name
    • Issuer name
    • Deal ID

  1. To access a specific deal for review, click on the deal title
  2. Alternatively, click on the three dots (⋮) in the Actions column and select "Review"
  3. This will take you to the detailed deal review page

Step 8: Understand Deal Priority

  1. Deals are typically listed in order of submission date, with oldest submissions at the top

  2. Pay attention to:

    • Submission date: Older submissions may need priority
    • Issuer communications: Some issuers may have sent messages about urgency
    • Deal complexity: More complex deals may require more review time
  3. Establish a consistent review order based on your organization's policies

Step 9: Track Your Review Progress

  1. As you review deals, they will remain in the Pending tab until you take action

  2. After you approve or reject a deal, it will move to the appropriate tab:

    • Approved deals move to "Active" or "Upcoming" depending on their start date
    • Rejected deals are removed from your pending list
    • Deals with requested changes remain in "Pending" until the issuer resubmits
  3. Check the "Recent Activity" section on your dashboard to see your recent actions

Step 10: Set Up Notifications for New Deals

  1. To stay informed about new deals requiring review:

    • Navigate to Settings from the left sidebar
    • Ensure email notifications are enabled for new deal submissions
    • Configure how frequently you want to be notified
  2. This ensures you don't miss new submissions requiring your attention

Best Practices

  • Regular Checks: Check your pending deals queue at least once daily
  • Consistent Order: Establish a consistent methodology for prioritizing reviews
  • Communication: If there will be delays in reviewing a deal, communicate this to the issuer
  • Documentation: Keep notes on deals you've started reviewing but haven't completed
  • Time Management: Allocate specific time blocks for deal reviews
  • Thoroughness: Don't rush reviews even when the queue is long
  • Team Coordination: If multiple brokers review deals, coordinate to avoid duplication
  • Follow Up: Check back on deals where you've requested changes
  • Stay Updated: Regularly refresh your pending deals list as new submissions arrive
  • Use Filters: Leverage sorting and filtering to organize your workflow
